Been a long time since I last posted. Mainly because I'm not used to blogging and it's never really been my thing. However, here I am again doing another post after all this time.
The one thing that I still have to submit, quite overdue, is the reflection for the group devised piece from the week before the performance. I have now printed it out and intend to get it to my teacher as soon as possible (which would be somewhere around the time that I am typing this post).
We've finally finished the group devised pieces and they went great. I looked at a recording of them and it didn't look too great from my point of view, but I still think it went very well.
Most people are still doing their reviews however, I am far ahead of them. I already finished writing my review for Hamlet many, many weeks ago and haven't had a whole lot of work to do in the previous few lessons. I've been considering perhaps editing it a little bit and resubmitting it because I got mine in really early and it would help to cure me of a few issues that I had when I gave in my first draft. Namely, not marking the title of the play with italics to distinguish the "Hamlet" that was the title, and the "Hamlet" that was the main character. There may also be another small edit or two that I would wish to make in light of the recent events and the reiteration of exactly how we should put our review together, perhaps picking up an extra mark or two.
Well, that should be all for this post. I'll try to get another post or two in again before the term ends so that I may extend a bit on the things mentioned in this post and the above post.

Wow
In all this time, I've never even thought about using my blog. It's just sitting there unused while I'm meant to be keeping it up to date. I suppose it's because I was hoping to fix it up and make it look really nice, but then discovered that it wasn't as easy as I had expected because whenever I thought I had a code correct, there was a problem with the way that the code was composed because it didn't seem to work very well at all using blogger (even though I have used some that work quite well using a lot of other websites).
Things won't be in order of occurrence, I'm afraid, so I'll start with today's lesson.
Today we did puppetry. I missed a small portion of the lesson because I was busy trying to sort something else out, but I got that everybody did a small group devised piece using their hand as a puppet. It was crude, but effective and fairly useful in looking at how puppetry works. I didn't do a piece because of the things that I was busy working on beforehand, but I got the gist of it; looked like fun.
Now, in previous lessons we have done other things. In particular, we did an ISP (Individual Study Presentation). It wasn't looking too great for me at first, but I finally managed to get it together and present a nice piece of scriptwriting. I think what was holding me back most was, like usual, I didn't know exactly where to start. Once I had a starting point I got everything done rather quickly. We also did a mini project on 3 areas of our choice and I chose to do scriptwriting, publicity, and lighting. Once I had that off the ground, I also got that done rather quickly and I think it turned out quite good. I find that there is nothing more satisfying than completing an assignment and getting it in before the due date; even though I'm not necessary always good at that (haha).
We have also done movement. We did group pieces that involved movement without speech and some of it went alright. I did one once with a group and it worked out fine. But the last one I had to do just fell apart because of my common lacking of the ability to work well in a group. There are some people that I work well with in a group, and others that I don't; but it was very good insight. I discovered that I don't always work well with my close friends. In fact, I found that one of my close friends just wasn't very easy to work well with in a group. At the same time, I also found out that there are plenty of people that I don't know altogether too well that I work really well with in a group, even if they are female! (I tend to be a little bit shy at times, but in drama I don't seem to get that very much when I do drama.)
